How to use the Split PDF

  1. Choose a PDF or try the example.
  2. Choose one file per page, a fixed number of pages per file, or your own ranges like 1-3, 4-6, 7-.
  3. Select Split PDF and download the new files as a ZIP, or as one PDF if there is only one range.

Supported files and limits

  • Pages are copied exactly: text stays selectable and images are not recompressed.
  • Ranges may overlap or leave pages out. Pages that are not in any range are listed after splitting.
  • Up to 2,000 pages, 100 MB and 500 output files. Password-protected PDFs are not supported.
  • Bookmarks and attachments are not copied into the new files.

Common questions

How do I save each page of a PDF as a separate file?
Choose "One file per page" and select Split PDF. You get a ZIP with one PDF per page, named with its page number.
Does splitting reduce the quality?
No. Pages are copied into the new files as they are, without re-rendering or recompressing anything.
Can I split a scanned batch into separate documents?
Yes. Enter the range of each document, for example 1-2, 3-5, 6-6, and each becomes its own PDF.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It is split in your browser and never sent to our server or anyone else.
