How to use the Redirect Map Checker
- Choose a CSV, TSV or TXT redirect table, or paste it.
- Set the delimiter and which columns hold the source and destination. Add your site address if the table mixes paths and full URLs.
- Select Check redirects, review the findings and download the report.
Supported files and limits
- The tool checks the mapping you supply. It does not test live redirects or whether destination pages load.
- URLs are matched exactly after trimming spaces: paths, query strings and trailing slashes are treated as different.
- Regular expression, wildcard and conditional rules are not supported.
- Up to 50,000 rows or 20 MB.
Common questions
Does this check my live website?
No. It analyses the table you provide without requesting any URL. Test the deployed redirects separately.
Is every redirect chain an error?
Not always, but each extra hop slows visitors and search engines down. Pointing every old URL straight at its final destination is usually better.
Will this keep my rankings safe?
It removes structural mistakes from the map, which helps, but it cannot predict rankings, indexing or how your server behaves.
Is my spreadsheet uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser, and the file is never sent to our server or anyone else.
