Common questions
What are UTM parameters?
Tags added to a link, such as utm_source=newsletter, that tell analytics tools where a visit came from. They are useful for the sender, but make shared links long and can reveal where you found them.
Is it safe to remove them?
Yes. Tracking parameters do not change which page opens. The tool keeps other parameters, which a page may need.
Why do my links start with safelinks.protection.outlook.com?
Microsoft Outlook rewrites links in emails to scan them. The real address is inside the link; this tool takes it out so you can share or check it.
Are my URLs sent anywhere?
No. They are cleaned in your browser and never sent to our server or anyone else.
